Deep Tissue Massage is quite like a Sports massage in terms of using a deeper pressure to help alleviate pain and discomfort in the muscles but would incorporate the flow, rhythm, and long strokes that a Swedish massage would offer. In a deep tissue massage the therapist would use a lot of their knuckles, elbows, and forearms to sustain and deep pressure. With this treatment unlike a sports massage, is a full body treatment but also can be a localised treatment too. A special blend of muscle easing oils will be used during this treatment.

Aromatherapy is the science and art of using plant-derived, aromatic essential oils to promote physical and psychological well-being. Aromatherapy massage does not just work on the integumentary system (skin) it also works on the olfactory system (nose). The aroma blend that the client chooses is massaged onto the body whilst the aroma is smelt throughout the treatment.
This treatment is a very tailored treatment as the oils can be used to help a alleviate a specific ailment or for general wellness and relaxation.

Sports massage is a deep form of soft tissue mobilisation. A sports massage can be applied in a sporting and non-sporting context. Sports massage involves a wide range of techniques that include effleurage, kneading, wringing, hacking and trigger pointing. A sports massage is used for helping a specific area that needs attention for example an injury or area of restriction or tightness Sports massage helps relieve muscular tension, break down adhesion's, mobilise soft tissues and reduce pain. Neuromuscular therapy uses soft tissue manipulation to help improve nervous system function and the overall function and alignment of the skeletal system. Using static pressure, neuromuscular therapists place a consistent amount of pressure on a specific area of the body, helping to reduce pain and tension effectively. Please beware when booking in for this appointment , the cups may leave a mark on your skin. Deep Tissue Cupping Massage is a combination of massage techniques and cupping techniques. Cups or cupping have been used in healing in many countries for hundreds of years, in china cupping is an integral part of Chinese medicine and this ancient therapy dates back 5000 years. In Russia cups are still used today by doctors as the first method before antibiotics are prescribed and all households would have a set of cups as part of their medical chest. Malta and other Mediterranean countries have a history of using cups in healing but sadly this practice is fading. Traditionally cups, which can be made of glass or bamboo, are applied to the skin surface by inserting ignited material into the cup to create a vacuum on the skin. This would be called hot cupping but these days you're able to create the same vacuum but without heat, this is called cold cupping. This is the cupping which I provide. Essentially Chinese cupping is the art of creating space between the surfaces of the body and deep tissue layers to allow blood, fluids, QI ( energy), and the lymphatic system to flow freely.

Indian Head Massage is derived from the ancient Ayurvedic Healing system, which teaches self-care and prevention of illness. Indian Head Massage also known as Champissage a Hindi word meaning head. It Is believed the manipulation of these body will help promote balance within the energy channels (chakras) which will help the client be better able to cope with everyday stresses and strains and will feel more relaxed and energised. It is helpful in not only alleviating tension, but also improves blood and lymphatic drainage and circulation.

Please be mindful, if this is your first time coming for a dry needling appointment and have an aversion to needles or faint easily, I wouldn't recommend this treatment. Can sometimes little marks on the skin from where the needle has gone in.
Dry needling, also known as trigger point dry needling and intramuscular stimulation. During a dry needling treatment, one or more thin, monofilament needles are inserted into a muscle trigger point. A trigger point is a local band of tight, irritable, and dysfunctional muscle tissue. This often emerges because of injury, overuse or poor movement patterns. Trigger points can disrupt your muscle function, restrict your range of motion, or cause pain and tenderness.
Dry Needling utilizes a thin filiform needle to penetrate the skin, fascia, and muscles to address adhesions, trigger points, and connective tissue. This speeds healing, blood flow and relieves pain by decreasing muscle hypertonicity (tightness), increasing joint range of motion, and correcting movement dysfunction through releasing a trigger point adhesion.Patients often report immediate relief after treatment. The needles remain in your muscles for a short period of time — between 10 seconds and 20 minutes — during treatment. This depends on the treatment location, number of needles used, and treatment goals.The needles used are solid and don't inject liquid into your body. It's the reason this treatment is referred to as "dry." All forms of acupuncture use dry needles as well. Although Dry Needling is not based on the philosophy of Acupuncture, it uses the same type of needles and some of the same pressure points in the body. The effect is both local (where the needle is applied) and general, causing relaxation and an overall sense of wellbeing. Reflexology is a therapeutic method of relieving tension and promoting balance in the body through a combination of massage and pressure point techniques along special reflex points and zones on the hands and feet. We do a gentle exfoliation at the start of this treatment followed by a reflexology treatment.

Hawaiian Lomi lomi massage - or "Loving Hands" massage is an ancient Hawaiian energy-based massage technique used by the kahunas (Hawaiian native healers), in which deep muscles are rigorously manipulated to bring balance within that persons Huna (energy flow). The therapist’s goal is to help rejuvenate mind, body, and spirit by removing energy blockages and opening energy pathways within the client’s body. The free-flowing strokes that typify Lomi Lomi has many of the same benefits of traditional Swedish massage: improved circulation and immune response, increased range of motion and flexibility, improved posture, faster healing, slower heart rate and lower blood pressure and creating balance. The strokes can be long, smooth, and relaxing, or quick and invigorating. The key is that the massage therapist and the client are working in tandem. Like Swedish massage oil is applied directly on skin, is covered by a small sheet or towel leaving most of the body exposed during the Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massage, whilst maintaining the client’s modesty, this is done as it makes it a lot easier to perform the upper-body and full body strokes without interrupting the flow of the massage. To ensure the comfort of the client, heater is used to keep the room temperature at a warm level. A special blend is used during this treatment, and this would be a treatment that would use a lot of oil.

Pregnancy massage is a very gently and specialised massage tailored around the expecting mother. The therapist uses pillows and cushion so that the client is comfortably positioned. Pregnancy massage is especially beneficial in the second and third trimesters, when the extra weight in your belly puts a strain on your back. Reflexology for cancer/ palliative clients is quite different to a normal reflexology treatment the same basis would be used, but pressure would be a lot gentler and lighter, techniques would be adapted to clients own specific needs. Effleurage techniques like long strokes, gliding and holds would be used predominantly. The main goal reflexology is used for cancer/palliative care is to promote relaxation and instil and sense of calm as this time can be an incredibly stressful time.
